Hands-on coastal cruising SAILING ADVENTURE from Newport RI to Provincetown, Monhegan Island, Southwest Harbor, and Portland, ME
Get a hands-on experience aboard our 48' Catamaran.
Learn to cruise with a certified sailing instructor and licensed captain over 7 days and 300 miles of classic New England sailing.
We have 4 double cabins with heads and shower, a beautiful galley and a helpful crew.
$1595 p/person, dbl occupancy ( plus gratuities for our crew). Includes all yacht expenses and meals aboard. Does not include shoreside activities, meals, or transportation costs.
We want to celebrate a great sailing season and the Autumn Solstice with our special cruise to Maine at the end of September. We'll leave Newport and arrive in time to enjoy serene oceanfront destinations and budding early fall foliage.
Chaton Mouille' is our 48' sailing catamaran that accomodates 8 guests in 4 double cabins plus crew, in total comfort and safety. There's plenty of room to relax and enjoy the ride, cook, dine, sunbathe, and more.
Wednesday September 26 - Newport to Onset, MA - 50 NM (nautical miles)
Depart Newport for Onset Harbor, MA - Enjoy the beach, Pizza and Beer @ Anthony's, and Ice Cream. Early birds can hit up the Dunkin' Donuts
Thursday September 27 - Onset to Provincetown MA - 30 NM
Transit the Cape Cod Canal - with the tide - between 7am and 10am- a spectacular and unforgettable ride. From the East Entrance we'll sail directly to Provincetown, and a fine meal ashore. (We suggest getting in on reservations at Sal's, of course :)
Friday- Saturday, September 28-29 - P'town to Monhegan Island - 120 NM
Offshore and overnight to step into the past at Monhegan Island, ME. Dinner and breakfast aboard. Fantastic artist's destination with dirt streets, a little harbor, great lobster and amazing views. Meal on Island (we'll need reservations)
Sunday, September 30 - Monhegan Isl. to Southwest Harbor, ME - 60 NM
We'll get a beautiful ride through Maine's wild island strewn coastal waters on our way to Maine's sailing Mecca, Southwest Harbor. Locals tell us we should rent bikes and get a bus ride with them to the Carriage Roads for an amazing cycling experience... no cars allowed and a beautiful way to experience Maine's great outdoors.
Tuesday, October 2 - Southwest Harbor to Portland, ME - 60 NM
You won't want to go back, but we figure we need to get you somewhere with return transportation. That said, Portland for a day and and a night is a truly fun experience in any regard. The bustling town is full of shopping, dining and brewery experiences.
